The last aspect touches upon the weapons and, particularly, skins which have exceptionally aesthetic function.
Visual matters
It was for the first time, in CS:GO, that there appeared an option that offered players to change the appearance of the weapons they have. There are classes of skins which means that you can meet them with a different frequency. Thus, there are eight grades of frequency, each one has a specific color that marks the icon of a particular weapon in inventory or in the market.
Each one, except the Exceedingly rare and Immortal weapons, has a drop sound as they can drop from cases. There are three types of them, each one needs a key to be opened. A key, depending on the case, you can buy in different sources. For those who want to collect desired skins not in the process of playing, there is a Steam market where you can buy any for a certain sum of real money.
The game didn’t have such an option initially, but the developers have added it with the update ‘Arms Deal’ that was released in August 2013. There were several ideas about transforming the visual look of the weapon depending on how old it is, but players preferred more to have bright and unique guns and knives instead of worn out ones. This has definitely given the game another bunch of freshness.
